Glenn was born
in Atlanta, Kansas but he grew up in Elkhart, Kansas he was born on August 4, 1909
and he died on March 10, 1988 at aged 78. He was a tall guy he was 5`0 and he
weights154 lbs. Glenn was badly burned because someone put gasoline instead of
kerosene in the can at his schoolhouse by accident so he got very injured and
so badly that he had no blood in his knees so he might not walk the same and he
lost all the toes on his left foot. Glenn had a brother named Floyd he was
thirteen and he had died from this tragedy. Glenn had a positive attitude after
two years he finally understood when he read this on this bible “"But
those who wait on the Lord shall renew theirstrength; they shall mount up with wings like
eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and notfaint”. Glenn accomplished in both
1032 summer Olympics as well as the 1936 summer Olympics he was the person who
everyone would called him “Elkhart Express” “Iron Horse of Kansas” Glenn sat
records all over that no one will beat.
